Rob is a Combat Veteran of the United States Army and currently serves as a
Clinical Social Worker in the Army National Guard. Rob has several years of
mental health experience and uses multiple approaches to identify and address
the specific needs of his clients.

Rob’s "specialty" is trauma focused (domestic violence, sexual assault, and PTSD, including combat related issues); he has treated a variety of other issues. Rob has experience treating clients (both adults and adolescents) struggling with divorce, depression, anxiety, anger issues, military related issues, and a variety of issues requiring more intense outpatient treatment. Rob seeks to help clients better understand themselves and their existence, so they may improve their quality of life and level of functioning.

Treatment modalities utilized include Individual, group, couple, and family therapy. A variety of evidenced-based practices are used to include cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution focused brief therapy, cognitive processing therapy, prolonged exposure therapy, motivational interviewing, family systems, EMDR, and psycho-education. Rob’s treatment methods are based on each client's needs, preferences, and strengths. He focuses on building awareness, mindfulness, and success in attaining each client's individual goals.

“The first step to getting anywhere is deciding you're no longer willing to stay where you are. I am committed to assisting my clients in navigating their way through difficult situations and assisting them with finding a new direction and perspective.

I provide confidential counseling services, which evolve around solutions and strengths. I strongly believe in the power of transformation and ability to heal from challenging situations. I look forward to assisting you in developing resilience in management of the obstacles/conditions you are currently experiencing.

I subscribe to the ethical code of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) in the provision of care. Your confidentiality and trust are very important to me. I believe recovery is a process of change through which individuals improve their health and wellness; live a self-directed life; and strive to reach their full potential."
